the 'gang' from mgs

eating the yummy mashmallow

sanne and i

me, christine, sabby, sanne

what have i been doing for the past few days.

sat - finally all 8 of us actually managed to catch up with one another. it felt so complete, unlike the past few times when not everyone turned up. the bbq at sanne's place was one of our unique dinners. food is being placed on the table and we get to eat in comfort. never will you find such an ambience!

sun - the morning started with a heavy downpour. went to church as usual. pastor was like talking about overcoming fear. we need not fear because 'He that is in me is greater than he who is of this world'.

mon & tue - raining. raining. and raining. the weather is so perfect to snuggle up in our quilts and sleep. why can't the hols just arrive. lol.

enjoy the week everyone!

why does one shrink their responsibility when something goes wrong? but gains credit when everything is smooth sailing. life is simply unfair.
finally..the weekend arrived!

went out with my mg darlings yesterday after eons. went to nydc in holland village for dinner and the food was simply delicious! after that we went to coffee club for desserts. i must say, the desserts there are superb! it was so so chocolaty..yummy!! while eating, we were chatting about those days we had in mg and laughing about the things we did in class. and how 'naughty' or 'guai' we were. haha. we totally had a great time together. =)

went back to mg today. met up with miss tan and mrs choo. chatted for a while because they had to rush off for some meeting. and the school was still in the midst of construction with the quandrangle being extended. the primary school toilets looking nicer. the new block, where all the science labs and lecture theatres were, looks like a condo. the classrooms were bigger too. and the list goes on.. why couldn't we enjoy the new facilities? hmm.. but at least we didn't have to go through the noisy and dusty construction.

then sanne and i went to coro for lunch. had the yummy lemon chicken rice and bubble tea. and it was decided last min that we met up with alicia and mel in little india. and because sanne gave the wrong instruction on where to find alish and mel, we ended up walking through the tekka market. but they were actually in tekka mall. haha. felt a tour guide bringing the tourists - alish, mel and sanne to buy bangles. after that we went to chinatown. walked through a street of shops where they bought some stuff. and i was trying to remember where was the shop that sold cheap cds. finally after turning left and right, we found the shop.

after a whole day out, i finally returned home with a ache on the shoulder. so sad. but it was enjoyable touring around the heritage places of singapore. lol.

HAPPY YOUTH DAY!

yesterday was youth sunday. church's worship was really good! there is power in expectancy! all things are possible to Him who believes!

and our youth present from the church was to have a bbq at night. it was decided totally last minute after service. the food was great and we all had fun! the guys were the chefs cooking the food, and the girls were just in charge of eating. =)

and i learnt how to play the...violin! my first song was twinkle twinkle little star. it was pretty easy. but to someone new to the instrument, your neck will ache after some time. whatever the case, learning how to play a song within a night gives you total satisfaction. must be wondering why was there a violin at a bbq. well, it's because someone had her violin lesson before the bbq.

at first, there were plans of watching a movie with my friends. but it was cancelled in the end. so i ended going out for lunch with my sister and 2 church friends. and studying for the rest of the day. =>

finally! our whole mid-yr exams are over with the gp paper being today. paper 1 was rather tricky. had a difficult time choosing which question to write about. paper 2 was more of a literary passage. but overall paper was do-able, but at times challenging.

weeeeeee...time zooms past you and before you know it, it's FRIDAY! thank God for weekends. one week passed, nine more weeks to go before the sep hols and then the prelims.

i must say that this week's been a rather easy going week, compared to the weeks before. suppose it's because most of the teachers have completed their syllabus except for econs and human geography. oh well. got to start revision soon..

nitez!
