on fri, went back to mg to 'pai nian' to the teachers and to eat our fav laska. haha. it was cool to see so many ex-students going back to school.
after mg, bummed at yeeks place. finally get to see her after so so long. chatted the whole afternoon and we both miss the good old mg days! time flies by and it's been 2 yrs plus since sec 4. totally increadible how we're still so close! really treasure our gang. those mg days were indescribable! doing insane things in and out of class. love those times!
it's really cool to have the gang reunited again after so long. so glad everyone could come even though their exams were coming pretty soon, except for sanne and i who are on hols. lol. did lots of catching up. went to holland v..had dinner and we headed down to eski bar. it was really cold. only sanne was without a jacket. well, she's used to it. haha. had an increadible time. love you gals! =)

on thur...of all the subjects, i had to teach my fav subject - CHEENA! i almost dieded. whaha! taught pri 3, 5 and 6. when i stepped into every class, all the pupils were rejocing because it meant FREE PERIOD. however, when i asked them to take out their chinese textbook, their reaction was "huh? ", because no play time for them. or "she's chinese?" simply hilarious!
the pri 3 class was adorable. pretty easy to teach them. played hang-man too. as for the pri 5 and pri 6, it was horrorendous! was teaching them the passage from the textbook and happened to get the pin-yin wrong for some words, so the smart alexes in the class were like correcting me. so so embarrassing! but seriously, what are they learning? the chinese is so difficult. don't remember learning such difficult words. haha. oh wells. it was a good experience though. hee hee.

oh my! had a MONSTEROUS class today. ok lar, not everyone in the class is naughty. but half the class is bad enough. and there's a particular boy who is super naughty. it's because he has attention-seeking-deficit syndrome. aniwae, the point is that he disrupts the whole class, hit the girl with a broom and inflicting pain on people. and poor me was one of the victim. while teaching a boy how to go about writing a composition, i got flicked by a rubber band at my back. it was painful mind you. oh wells.

it's back to the same pri 4 class. haha. the teacher is on mc again. had to teach the class today because the class has completed all the assignments last week. taught the class mathematics - multiplication of a one digit or two digit number. did a biit of english. and ended the day teaching science. taught them the three states of water (solid, liquid and gas) and the water cycle. so geography. whaha! and i'm impressed with myself. taught two topics in 40 mins. or rather, the topics were easy to comprehend. LOL. teaching the students were a breeze because they understood the lesson pretty fast. and also, could feel how teachers felt while they were teaching us. hee hee. 1 boy was practically reading a storybook right under my nose and a few of them in a row were playing some game. but at least the rest were listening. haha.

here's wad's been happening...
last thur and fri did relief teaching at bukit panjang pri. its like 5 mins walk from my house. so near. save time on travelling. haha. but would want to try other schools too. aniwae, this time had a pri 4 class. my! they are so super hardworking and so guai. the class does work pretty quietly plus some whispers here and there. [wee wee, izzy and kawai would love a class so quiet. whaha! don't have to keep screaming. haha.] and once they're done with their work, 3/4 of them would take out their storybook to read. they're not called the 2nd best class for nothing. whaha!

celebrated daddy's birthday yesterday. it was a belated birthday because he had to work till late on fri. so sad. oh wells. work comes first la.

2nd day of relief teaching. went through the comprehension passage, vocab worksheet and gave out maths and science worksheet papers. the students were complaining of me giving too much hw. oh wells. this was not my idea. whaha! brought them to the computer lab so that they could finish their project.
and i punished one of boys by making him do his work while standing. he kept talking non-stop and kept saying "really... really.... really" after every sentence i made. had to repeat myself like 4 -5 times before he actually stood up. real rascal! he practically stood for almost the whole day except for the time while they were in the lab. after recess, the whole class got punished because of him. and they were all glad to be punished by me. somehow, they love to stand. some cheered, some clapped-hands upon hearing that they have to stand for the whole lesson.
found it unjustifiable for the whole class to be punished for something they had not done. so decided to let those who answered my question sit down.
at 12.00 pm, it was time to leave the class. i'm gonna miss them even though they were rascals! =)

did relief teaching today. it was pretty fun. haha. had a primary 6.4 class. the kids were so so talkative, but still adorable la. at least they listened to me to a certain extent. LOL. had this long list of things set by the teacher because the teacher was on course and because this was their important year. or else like the other primary levels, we relief teachers just got to go into class and baby-sit the class with no work set. went into one pri 3 class today. practically just stoning in class and waiting for time to pass. luckily had a book to keep me company or hearing the students ask "teacher teacher, can i go toilet?? teacher teacher... teacher teacher..." whaha.
aniwae, back to the primary sixes. gave them spelling, dictation. went through vocab worksheet. assigned them math problem sums. oh my, the maths questions are so so DIFFICULT. the students were asking "teacher teacher, how to do question 6? how to do question 8." i was like starring at the question with many many question marks. so ended up referring to the answers from the teacher's book before explaining to them. and the kids love echoing each other mann. every instruction that was given, the same boy wld start the ball rolling. he'll say "really ah...really ah." goodness. then a few other boys would copy him too. and many of them love acting smart. they'll tell me what to do. "teacher teacher, you must do..." and the most funny thing was, 2 kids asked me "teacher teacher, you malay or chinese?" after answering them, they'll say "i thought you chinese". that was hilarious! whaha!

started work at manulife again. it was kinda slack because at my side of the office, no adult was present. it was only xueyi, kawai and myself. whaha! so we called, chatted, snacked. super slack. worked for only half a day today. haha.
then in the afternoon, the 7 dwarves minus jojo went back to JJ. can you believe it, we were actually going back to JJ. we were missing those times we had in our 04a1 classroom and of course some teachers like lumlum. we met up with lumlum and had a good time talking.
anyway, on our journey there, 2 embarrassing moments happened. haha. we had to walk out from the bus parking area with everyone fixing their eyes on us. the bus driver didn't realise that there were still people on the bus as we were on the upper deck of the bus. then when i got off the bus, i forgot to tap my ez-link card. so i wanted to go back up the bus to tap, and the bus driver actually opened the bus door, but i wasn't fast enough to tap it. haha. oh wells, just got to pay more for my bus ride. whaha! I WANT MY BUS CONCESSION! so used to it.
got news to announce. hohoho is teaching clara econs! clara is the econs rep! how bad can this get??! hohoho is going to terrorize her. whaha! of all the teachers, clara got hohoho as her teacher. and she didn't get lumlum or mandy for geo. so sad. got some new teacher instead. bleah.
then the 6 dwarves hang out at pizza hut for late lunch cum early dinner. haha. had a FANTASTIC TIME together!! =)

helped out at the kids sunday school today. the kids are fantastic, mischevious at times, but simply adorable! eunice and i taught them the J.E.S.U.S cheer. the kids learnt it almost immediately. cool!
one year past so fast. youth H.U.B has turned one year's old! had a one year anniversary celebration yesterday. so glad that number of the youths are growing! C'MON GET UP, THE KING IS HERE! THERE'S SOMETHING HAPPENING IN THE ATMOSPHERE! yeah!

"what a perfect day!" it didn't rain today. cool! travelling was made a breeze.
in the late morning, went back to MG. helped the teachers. saw many of clara's frens back in MG too. clara was no exception. the staffroom was so noisy and lively. and i was so surprize to find out that mz tan is the form teacher of my buddy (the primary 5 - primary 1 buddy system). amazing! she still looks pretty much the same, but just much much taller. how coincident!
met up with my 1st 3 mths frens after eons! had whole lot of fun! we laughed till our cheek muscles were aching. LOL. snapped many pictures too. had a FANTASTIC time together! =)

it's been raining everyday! so inconvenient to go out. but the only comfort is that it's nice to sleep in such cool weather. whaha! aniwae, think the monsoon season this time is pretty horrible. didn't expect it to rain from morning till night. the earth must be undergoing a climatic change back to the glacial period. considering that we're in the interglacial period now. haha. or it may be linked to the el-nino or el-nina phenomena. LOL.
was out getting stuff for our youth H.U.B. 1st anniversary this sat and transport is so ex! no more bus concession! *sobs* was so use to taking multiple bus rides everyday, changing many buses to get to one destination asap. ahaha. now, no more such privilege. =(

had my first jap lesson today. it was totally hilarious! firstly, the teacher was talking so fast. and many of us couldn't catch wad the teacher was saying initially. secondly, the way we pronounced the words sounded funny. whaha! but guess it takes time to familarize with the jap words. and the class was majority filled with working adults. we're like the youngest there. haha.
to anyone out there : if you got good suggestions on how to teach primary sch kids chinese, please let me know! how ironic is this, teaching chinese??!! i'm running out of ideas of teaching my brother chinese and getting him to rmb the words. i'm going insane! LOL.

I'M BACK! touched down yesterday at 5.20am. there weren't on-demand movies on the plane. pretty tired too. so slept on the plane. was talking to sanne too. food was pretty alright. at the arrival hall, saw mummy and matthew. daddy was buying some food. hugged them all! LOVE THEM!!
woo-hoo! this trip was TOTALLY FRUITFUL! IT'S SO SO WORTH GOING!!!
the conference was FLIPPING AWESOME!!! learnt so many new things from the speakers - chris hill, reggie debbs, matt fielder, russel evans. the style of bringing the message across was so different from the here. INTERESTING!! LOVE IT ALL!! praise and worship was simply BREATH TAKING!! jumping and lifting our praises to the Lord! the presence of the Holy Spirit was definitely moving. something was happening the in atmosphere. FANTASTICAL!!! =)

2005 has ended. but hey, 2006 is going to be a splendid and glorious year! God is going to do something great and mighty! woo hoo! =)
3rd day of jan 2006. here i am in melbourne with sanne. whee! shopping shopping and more shopping! bought many many things and spending a lot of money too. but it can't be helped. whaha! because there's simply no time to visit scenic places - the great ocean road, phillip island. LOL.
met sanne's group of frens yesterday. after dinner, sanne decided to pop over at one of her fren's, bonnie, place. and it so happened that the few of them was there too. so we hang out at bonnie's place. had a good time laughing. it was a time of crazyness. FUN! but the more hilarious part was that this guy, scott, hangs out most of the time with this group of girls and always gets attacked by the girls. what can i say. if the guys are the minority, they'll get attacked by the girls and vice-versa. just like in A1. whahaha. what's more was that the girls were all from girls' school. LOL.
can't wait for tmr's conference. it's gonna be awesome! yuppie! =)

wow! 2005 has ended and 2006 has begun!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! 2006 is gonna be a glorious year! yeah!
last week of 2005 was wonderful! first it was christmas, then had 04a1 chalet and finally prom nite.
@ the chalet!
the chalet was fun fun fun! in the morning, a few of us went grocery shopping. so cool! we were comparing prices, choosing the different bands and seeing if we were still within the budget range. but still we exceeded the budget by 20 over dollars. nonetheless, we had a good time doing 'markerting'. then we went to wee wee's grandparents' house to marinate the chicken wings. so exciting. seeing 2 kids marinating the chicken. whaha!
the chalet was at some ula place in sentosa. we were thankful to have wee wee's uncle to drive us in. at the chalet, some played PS 2, while the rest played majong. they were playing midnight majong till 4 plus in the morning.
@ the prom!
first, i went to do my hair at the hair salon. had my aunt to help me do make up cos mummy was at work. then wee wee, xueyi and sin en came over for their make up too. then izzy and doris came over to catch a ride down to suntec for our prom.
everyone was dressed so elegantly. duh! it's a prom! haha. we cldn't even recognise some of the people because they looked so different. however, some who guys who cldn't be bothered wore shirt and berms.
took many many photos! pretty pretty pretty people. didn't eat much because i wasn't at the table after the 2 dish. was walking around taking photos! came back after some time and i had 3 plates of untouched food. so nice of my frens to keep some food for me. then went around again. and came back only for dessert. haha. the performace was not too bad, and the teachers made a video clip for us. so touching! gonna miss some teachers + 04A1 and my school friends! =)
