here's a quick update of what's been happening..

- church has been awesome!!! God is moving!!!! :)) real cool!
- it's back to school! HAHA. but but.. IT'S MY LAST SEMESTER!!!!!! can't wait to finish my degree course.
- clara got into NTU sociology. so happy for her.
- met xueyi last week. (: meeting joelyn next week. (finally people are finishing their exams! LOL!)
- sanney and meiling, JIA YOU JIA YOU!!! ALL THE BEST!!!
- JIA YOU JIA YOU TOO NUS/SIM PEEPS!!!! can't wait to meet you 7 dwarfs!
- went to sentosa today. weather was really really hot! but it's nice to be in the sun after such a long time.. hahahahaha. nah, didn't become any blacker la.
- went cycling at sentosa too. nice! imagine the breeze brushing through your face.. whee!

time is just flying so so fast! it's the end of march!! and so many things are happening that's just blowing my mind away...

firstly, praise explosion last friday was simply AWWEEESOME!!! really really cool!! real glad esther could make it.. :)
and we had bowling on sun. didn't really score that well.. :( despite the spares, there were still some balls that went into the drain. bleah. and for the record for one of the throws, becos the ball was quite oily and one hand wasn't that dry, the ball went flew backwards.. HAA.

on a random note, i just completed my last essay for term 4 and this means i'm into the LAST LAST semester for my degree!!! YAY ME!!!!
now i'm free for the month of apr! hehe. i wanna meet you peeps!!!

planetshakers is coming to town on 10-11 apr!! CAN'T WAIT!! :D

Bus Burning!!

As our youth group made it's way down to a retreat center a couple of weeks ago the back tire blew, then caught on fire, then the bus caught on fire!

God blessed and no one was hurt...

except the bus and stuff like purses and such...which don't count as anything important!

God's word made it through the flames.
Heaven and earth (and buses) pass away, but not His WORD!

We circled the theme verse. Zach 2:5, for our youth group, ironically named "The Fire House" and gave it to the firemen who put the bus out.

it's TWO ZERO ZERO EIGHT! haa.. :D the days are just passing by so fast and things are have been fabulously crazy.. hehe.

2007 was great! 2008 is going to be even better!!!!! AMEN!

been spending time with sanney khoo! it's awesome.. all the catching up and stuff.. :) and i'm hooked onto guitar heroes! it's so fun can. i think i should be getting it for my birthday from my uncle.. haha. we went wakeboarding with a few others.. this is ultimate fun. despite the many times falling into the water and drinking lots of seawater, the success of being able to stand up and wakeboard is shiok. and sanney's friend, Justin, was like a pro.. he's like so so good.. and thankfully there was no sun, or else i'll turn really black.. hee. the photos aren't with me, so can't post it...

on new year's eve, we went to countdown at marina square. super duper packed! but for the fireworks, it was worth it.. (: super nice!

christmas service yesterday was just amazing! :D worship was phenomenal!!! I'm LOVING it!!!! worship is getting better every sunday!!!! mann, i'm getting excited as i'm typing! (: (: (: what else could be the best but to just worship God!!

the adults performed a skit that was hilarious! the youth band did 3 songs, 2 of which they composed. and the lyrics are so meaningful! finally, the kids ended with their item! they're so cute! hehe..

oh yes, we had 2 salvations and 2 re-dedications! YIPPEE!!! :D Daddy God must be really happy!!! I'm so happy toooo!!!!

and at night, we had our christmas party.. it was awesome! so happy with the turnout. we had like 120+ people... AMAZING!!! we had crazy games which were really fun fun fun, food and more food and a blessed draw..

it's been crazy la.. completed my essay like a few hours after the dateline. HAA.
stayed up the whole night and i'm super tired now.......

but nonetheless, thank You Holy Spirit for giving me the words and ideas to write because if it weren't for You, don't think i would have completed my essay just yet.. the question was super weird la... oh wells. it's over.. shan't think about it anymore. all i ask is for a decent grade.. thank You Jesus.

now i'm starting to find facebook pretty useful when it comes to "coping" of photos.. hehe. was just looking through those tagged photos and goodness me, i looked so funny can!!!! so ugly (cute but adorable?? hahaha) la.. i changed quite a bit.. especially in hairstyle.. LOL! okay, that's not really the point, the point is that I'M MISSING 4B4, 04SG, O4A1 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! school days are so fun fun fun!!! especially with what we do before school, during lesson time, and after school. veron is feeling nostalgic.. HAA! missing those school days!!!!!!! can someone be so kind to invent a time machine so that we can all turn back the clock??? okay fine, i'm in my own fantasy.. heh..

and though i'm in uni now, but it's just very different. i'm still enjoying school but the kind of fun is just different. what's the proper kind of local uni life?? and if i did go to a local uni, would i be where i am today??? i seriously doubt so! so my choice is that i would rather not go a local uni, but be where i am today.

i thank God that He brought us an increase in the number of youths we have in church. the increase was so supernatural and way cool!! :) fun to be with them! and today, we were playing this game.. someone will start a sentence by saying 4 words. then the next person will continue with 4 words and join to the first 4 words.. and we mustn't let the sentence die off. and we created a super hilarious story.. HAHA! and because they played in chinese, just discovered that they're super pro-ed in chinese can!!!

xueyi!!! i need help for chinese ar!!! HAHAHA!

back to the reality of doing more assignments... haaaa...

but before that, just came back from bangkok last night. it was a short 3 night stay at bangkok. i shall be thankful for this trip though it wasn't quite what i expected. there's no trying of clothes there! sizes of clothes there are like so SMALL and TIGHT and BODY HUGGING, and the fashion style, not quite me. but it's so clara's style of clothes. so she bought lots of clothes la. and matthew bought many t-shirts, game boy and PS2 stuff...

out of the many places we went, the only place that i managed to buy a bag and a few accessories that was nice and reasonably priced was at Platinum. we went to Platinum twice - once on the 1st day and the other on the 3rd day. HAA!! but it was only on the last day, where we had 6 hrs before flying back to s'pore, then i started buying a couple of stuff from Platinum. it was super adrenaline rush. but FUN! LOL! then got 2 shirts from like a departmental store under our hotel. that's all the things i bought. thank God i got some stuff on the last day cos the first 2 days there were super disappointing for me la. walk so much but bought nothing! bleah.

enough of the not so good stuff.. i must learn to be thankful!!! and it was still an experience.. HEE! anyways, TOM YAM SOUP there is super duper nice la!!! had tom yam soup for like 3 days at different places. but liked the one at Siam Paragon. NICE NICE!! and i'm still missing it! HEHE!

the past week has been crazily exciting! was super super busy until totally lack of sleep! had assignment datelines to meet and 3 more datelines to meet in december! AHH!!!!!

last saturday, we brought kids from a home out to the zoo! mann, zoo changed so much!! haha.. really feel so sad for the kids la. at such a young age, they were left in the home. and by 16 years old, they will have to leave the home.. could see hurt in the eyes of the older kids. am just thankful to God to how blessed i am.

we just came back from the kidz camp! super proud of the kids! 4 salvation, 5 re-dedications. and let me tell you kids nowadays, have super high expectations la. the games we planned, they call it lame can. wah, don't remember we being like that when we were young. but despite them saying the games were lame, they're looking forward to the next camp next year. my brother was like asking, when will the camp be next year? haha..

i declare the camp a success! all the hard work in preparation was paid off. :) plus plus, had feedback that some kids were still singing the theme song back at home! REAL COOL!!! WELL DONE GIRLS!

A refreshing touch from the Holy Spirit just filled me after reading Sanne's blog. The love for the Holy Spirit just came overflowing once again. The one thing we need more than anything is the fill of the Holy Spirit. Only only only the Holy Spirit can make me whole. The world may come tumbling down, but with the Holy Spirit in me, I will not fear.

Just today, after receiving back an email from my lecturer regarding some assignment questions, he didn't even clarify my doubts because he said he went through in class and it was too long to explain in the email. I was like dumbfounded. Didn't know what to do. I was lost. But after listening to the song 'Come Holy Spirit', I am reminded that I can do all things through Jesus who gives me strength. And through a fresh anointing from the Holy Spirit, my spirit within me just rose up and I knew and I knew that I had the confidence of God in me to complete my assignment.
